Meet The Soldier

In a groundbreaking project that aims to utilize VR technology to promote conflict resolution, Scopic brings 3D and 360° video to the production of a humanitarian documentary.

Karamoja, an arid region in North East Uganda, has not seen peace in a long time. Due to a difficult climate and scarce resources, neighboring communities constantly fight to acquire as much as they can to survive. Although the government has tried different strategies of reconciliation, it is hard for these groups to see eye to eye.

In a new attempt to encourage empathy between the populations, Meet the Soldier brings together two rival soldiers to see from each other’s perspective through the lenses of a VR experience.
